Big Red Chair

There's a nursery that has this big red chair in front of it. Rebecka and I had to get a picture together in it.

Last night the girls went to Chick-fil-A for dinner. Afterwards, we splurged and went to the grocery store and bought magnum ice cream bars. They come in packs of 3, and there were 6 of us, so it was perfect! We've never had them before, and they were such a special delicious treat. My mom said that we should always have them in the freezer for that time of the month because it's impossible to eat one and be grumpy at the same time. We all agreed!!!

Magic Show

The local library had a lot of different events this summer for children. I took  Alex, Oliver, and Nolan to the last event, which was a magic show. It was a lot of fun, and the kids really enjoyed it.

The boys have been playing a lot of monopoly. Their games normally last a couple hours.

Today we picked up Rebecka from the airport. I'm so happy that she's here during the last week of wedding prep. I can't believe that the wedding is next Saturday, Aug. 5th. My other great friend Sarah flies in on Sunday. There is still so much to do, and I'm so thankful they will be here to help.

More Swimming

The kids love swimming. We spend a couple hours in the pool every day. As soon as we go outside, Oliver just runs and jumps in. He is pretty much a swimmer now, and is absolutely fearless.

It's so hard to take good pics with the underwater camera. This one is my favorite though.

Thomas was a human raft for Natalie.

 Underwater selfie!

Tonight for dinner we made piroshki. It was a group effort. Everybody helped cut veggies, cook meat, make the dough, roll them out, stuff them, and fry them.

We ran out of the meat filling near the end, so we stuffed the last four with strawberry jam and cream cheese.

 They were delicious!

Five Happy Kittens

The kittens are up and walking now. They are so precious, and the kids love holding them.

It has been so fun watching these little guys grow. Oliver, for some reason, is so scared of the kittens. He will not go near them, and if we try to get him to pet them, he will scream and run. He isn't scared of the big cats though. Hopefully soon he'll see how adorable the little guys are.

Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July! We celebrated on July 3rd because our Baboonya and Auntie Lena were leaving in the morning on the 4th. We celebrated with a good meal, swimming, and lots of fireworks. Also, on Sunday our church had a special patriotic service and picnic. It was a great service.

Here are some of us waiting for the show to start.

Nolan was so excited to wave his sparkler around.

The boys all took turns lighting them. Overall, they did great!

Thank you Auntie Lena and Baboonya for all the fireworks. We had so much fun! And thank you God for the freedom we have!

The kids had a blast this past week at VBS. The theme was Galactic Starveyors. Oliver, Nolan, Alex, and Dennis went and participated in the program, while a couple of the older kids volunteered.

Thursday night they had family night. They provided dinner, and had a waterslide for the kids. We also got to watch the kids perform some of their songs.

Nolan was so excited being on the stage. He did the dance moves so well, as did Alex and Dennis.

Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered. You have no idea how much fun these kids had. :)
